The wounds are almost done healing
And they’ve even stopped their peeling.
There’s not much more agony
To eat away inside me…
Things aren’t perfect, far from it…
But at least I’m out of the pit
Of pure black and Blue
And it’s all thanks to you…
You didn’t let me give in
To the pain deep within.
Even when we weren’t together
You were my heroic saviour,
You may not have meant to be,
But thinking of you helped me to see
A better way out of things…
Thinking of you gave me wings…
How long has it been since I've felt this way?
A state where even meditation
will do nothing to quell the raging beast.
I can feel its claws running along my biceps;
its power flows into my open veins!
My blood is heated to the point of fever
even while the heart remains as cold as winter.
And as I feel it breathing upon my neck.
My lips curl in a synchronous snarl.
For its voice echoes my darkest thoughts:
